A MUSEUM FOR ALL

Through this new initiative, A Museum for All, we have committed to work in partnership with Atlanta Public Schools, Fulton County Schools, and the Piedmont School of Atlanta to build an array of services for students with disabilities.

The project will include:

  • Collaborating with community partners whose mission is to provide direct service to children with special needs and their families
  • Professional development for Museum staff to ensure meaningful and educationally appropriate engagement with children with special needs.
  • Piloting in-museum (field trip) and out-of-museum (classroom-based outreach) early learning experiences designed for children with special needs and their adult caregivers (parents and teachers).
  • Evaluation of program impact on children's educational enrichment and value of support provided to families, educators, and caregivers.
