We have moved our sensory-modified experience to select Sunday mornings. This experience includes a sensory-modified setting, limited admission, and sound and lighting adjustments. Callie the Therapy Dog attends Sensory Friendly Sessions. She is available for pets and snuggles at the CMA Stage.

We also have a social story to help prepare families for their Museum experience.

Admission will be $17.95 per person for non-members and free for members. Advance ticket purchase is required. Sensory Friendly Sundays will occur during Session A.

The project will include:

  • Collaborating with community partners whose mission is to provide direct service to children with special needs and their families
  • Professional development for Museum staff to ensure meaningful and educationally appropriate engagement with children with special needs.
  • Piloting in-museum (field trip) and out-of-museum (classroom-based outreach) early learning experiences designed for children with special needs and their adult caregivers (parents and teachers).
  • Evaluation of program impact on children's educational enrichment and value of support provided to families, educators, and caregivers.
