Celebrate Latin American Heritage! This September, we are celebrating some of the Latine individuals who have helped shape our world. In honor of our Latine neighbors — and Hispanic Heritage Month, which officially starts September 15 — join us all September long to learn about Olympic rowing athlete, Kenia Vanessa Lechuga Alanís, the 2020 Kerr expedition team and all-women team of ornithologists in the forests of Colombia, artist Frida Kahlo and more!

Here at the Museum for the month of September we are celebrating Latin American Heritage Month! We are honoring artists, scientists, authors and engineerers of Latin American heritage in 'A New Kind of Wild' by Zara Gonzalez Hoang.
