Jane's Innovation Station: Build a Skyscraper

Celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with us as we honor the life and achievements of Bangladeshi-American architect, Fazlur Rahman Khan. Can you build a skyscraper that can withstand weight, wind, and an earthquake?

 

Science Bar: Invisible Ink

Come to the Science Bar to learn all about Dr. Wong-Staal, a Chinese-American scientist who studied viruses and other kinds of germs that make us sick, and played a crucial part in creating vaccines.

 

Art Studio: Build A Bug

Create a creepy crawly at the CMA Art Studio in celebration of the work of Japanese artist, Hiroshi Shinno!

 

Island Adventure

Embark on the adventure of a lifetime with us at the CMA Stage. Pick up a pool noodle – I mean, IMAGI-TOOL 2000 and utilize it to row a boat, scale a mountain and escape a volcano as you learn about the flora, fauna and wildlife of the Pacific Islands!

 

Storytime: "Little Red Riding Hood and the Dragon"

Interact with this fun AAPI month twist on a classic fable by Chinese American author, Ying Chang Compestine! Swish scarves and bang drums, all to help save Little Red and her Năinai from a big, bad dragon!
