Museum On-the-Go brings playful, hands-on learning to your classrooms or community spaces. With programs designed to engage 2 year olds to 5th graders, there’s fun to discover for everyone!
Each Museum On-the-Go is led by the Museum's professionally trained educators and includes a story time and a facilitated hands-on activity. Featuring a range of STEAM topics, Museum On-the Gos are designed to be fun while supporting your curriculum and meeting GELDS and Georgia Standards of Excellence.
The Children’s Museum offers Museum On-the-Gos that are developmentally appropriate for three distinct age groups: 2 to 4 year olds, pre-K to 3rd graders, and 4th to 5th graders.
Our innovative, hands-on programs are also available virtually.
Choose from one of the following programs:
Museum On-the-Gos vary in price by age range and cover up to 25 children. On-the-Gos for 2-3 year olds are $250. On-the-Gos for Pre-Kindergarten-3rd grade are $275. On-the-Gos for 4th-5th grade are $300.
The prices increases $12 per child for groups of 26-35 children. Groups larger than 35 children will incur the cost on an additional On-the-Go program.
When you book more than one of the same Museum On-the-Go programs for the same day and location, each additional program receives a $20 discount.
Pricing includes 20 miles round trip, locations exceeding 20 miles round trip will be charged $0.70/mile for each additional mile.
In-Person & Virtual
30-minute program plus 15 minutes for Q&A.
Supply boxes include all workshop materials for up to 25 students and are included in the price of your Museum On-the-Go.
For virtual Museum On-the-Gos, supply boxes can be delivered by CMA, picked up by someone from your organization, or shipped via UPS (rates will vary). All materials for up to 25 students will be available after receiving a deposit.
Dates sell out quickly. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due two (2) weeks after the time of booking.
When you are ready to book your On-the Go program, you should have:
- at least three (3) possible dates selected
- time of day you would like the program to start
- the number of children and classes you want to attend the program
- The age and grade of the children
- Access to tables where the children can do their activity
- A table for the Museum Educator to use during the workshop
Before you book your virtual On-the-Go make sure you also have:
- access to technology that will support a Teams session in your classroom
School checks made out to Children’s Museum of Atlanta, or credit cards (American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa) are acceptable forms of payment. School checks or school credit cards must be used for tax-exempt status.
Call as soon as possible to cancel or change a reservation. Reservations are held with a 50% non-refundable deposit. Organizations must cancel within six (6) weeks of the scheduled program to apply the deposit to a different date within the same school year. Rescheduling a program is based on availability. Cancellations made less than six (6) weeks prior to visit will result in forfeiture of 50% deposit.
All gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. The Museum is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt & charitable organization. Our tax-exempt number is 58-1785484.
