Every year on the 5th of May, Cinco de Mayo, Mexicans and Mexican-Americans commemorate the Mexican Army’s 1862 victory against France at the Battle of Puebla. In the United States, Cinco de Mayo is a special day to celebrate Mexican culture and heritage.
Join Children’s Museum of Atlanta in our own celebration of Cinco de Mayo, complete with themed storytimes on the CMA stage, piñata making in the Art Studio, and creating Mexican Mariachi guitars in the Build It Lab. When planning your visit, don’t miss out on the dazzling talents of our special guest, Alma Mexicana who will teach all visitors about the beauty and tradition of Mexican culture and Cinco de Mayo through dance and native costume!
