During Session B, celebrate Purim on the CMA Stage with a special sing-along performance by “Mr. Michael” Levine.
Michael is the music producer of the original NYT best-selling Pete the Cat books, and he is also the co-founder of The Learning Groove music and movement programs used around the world.
Don’t forget to stop by the Art Studio to decorate a crown for our Purim celebration!

except on May 9, 10, 11, 12, 13Become the architect of your dreams! Build and develop your very own Children’s Museum, challenge yourself to design it to host specific types of exhibits, and make it structurally sound to operate in the hustle and bustle of the city. What will you dream up?

Jane's Innovation Station: Map Your Museum
except on December 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24We're calling on all tiny architects to design the museum of their dreams. Map out a museum floor, and help develop space allocation skills as your kiddo will pick and choose their museum’s amazing exhibits. This activity is a part of our Building Blocks program. Ideal for children ages 1 to 5, our Building Blocks programs are facilitated by trained professionals guiding developmentally appropriate, play-based activities that promote preschool and kindergarten readiness.

Science Bar: Cake & Candles
It's not a birthday celebration without the cake and candles! Head to the Science Bar and learn about the three elements of combustion and what happens when one is taken away.

Science Bar: Build a Cake
except on December 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24Stack boxes to make a cake in celebration of CMA’s 20th anniversary! Sort them into several different cakes by their colors or the number of decorations on them with creative and cooperative play. This activity is a part of our Building Block program. Ideal for children ages 1 to 5, our Building Blocks programs are facilitated by trained professionals guiding developmentally appropriate, play-based activities that promote preschool and kindergarten readiness.

The Purim story reminds us that since ancient times people have had to navigate different identities. Crowns symbolize “code‐switching,” or the ability to navigate different cultural spaces. Get ready to trace, cut, and decorate a fun crown for our Purim celebration in the Art Studio!
