Looking for a Quieter Experience?
Avoid Field Trip Groups: School groups visit Monday–Friday from 10 am – 12:00 pm. For a quieter experience, visit after 12:00 pm on weekdays.
Pro-tip: Escape weekday crowds during the school year and head to Preschool Playtime in the Art Studio from 10 am–12 pm for fun facilitated activities for babies, toddlers, and pre-kindergarteners.
Driving Directions
SOUTHBOUND via I-75: Exit 249C Williams Street. Go straight off the exit onto Williams Street. Turn right onto Baker Street. The Museum is located on the corner of Baker Street and Centennial Olympic Park Drive.
NORTHBOUND via I-75/I-85: Exit 248C toward Andrew Young International Blvd. Keep left toward Piedmont Ave. Turn right on Piedmont Ave. Turn right on Baker Street. The Museum is located on the corner of Baker Street and Centennial Olympic Park Drive.
EASTBOUND or WESTBOUND via I-20: Exit I-75/85 North. Exit Andrew Young International Blvd. Go through downtown towards Centennial Olympic Park. Turn right onto Williams Street. Go two blocks to Baker Street and turn left. The Museum is located on the corner of Baker Street and Centennial Olympic Park Drive.
Parking Options
The recommended parking lot for the Museum can be found at 236 Williams Street, one block from the Museum. For the best price, pre-purchase your parking in advance. $8 parking is available for Museum guests except during blackout windows. Parking at 236 Williams Street is independently owned and not operated by Children's Museum of Atlanta.

Public Transportation Directions
15-minute walk: The closest MARTA train station is Peachtree Center on the Red and Gold lines. Exit the station towards Ellis Street NE. Walk North on Peachtree Street three blocks before turning left on Baker Street NW. Continue walking on Baker Street past Ted Turner Drive NW and Williams Street NW. The Museum is on the right side on the corner of Baker Street and Centennial Olympic Drive NW.
18-minute walk: The closest MARTA train station on the Blue and Green lines is GWCC/CNN Center. Exit the station towards State Farm Arena and walk down Andrew Young International Boulevard towards Marietta Street NW (away from Mercedes-Benz Stadium). Cross Marietta Street and continue through Centennial Olympic Park to the corner of Centennial Olympic Park Drive NW and Baker Street NW. Cross both streets to arrive at the Museum.
5-minute walk: The closest bus stops are the 411 and 413 stops, one block away on the corner of Baker Street and Williams Street.
8-minute walk: The closest streetcar stop is Centennial Olympic Park Drive & Andrew Young International Boulevard.
What to Bring
- Comfortable Clothes: Wear comfortable "play clothes" and rubber-soled sneakers or shoes since children will be very active. Open-toe sandals, flip-flops, and high heels are strongly discouraged. Shoes must be worn at all times.
- Change of Clothes: While we provide aprons and ponchos for paint and water play, you may want a fresh change of clothes.
- Water Bottle: Water bottles are allowed on the exhibit floor and can be refilled at our water fountains.
- Membership Card and Tickets: Bring your digital membership card and/or tickets to show at check-in.
Food
You can buy snacks and beverages in the Museum store or bring your own from home. Snacks can be eaten in the Snack Stop (next to the Museum Store). Water bottles and soda bottles with caps are permitted on the exhibit floor. There is a water fountain by the front entrance restrooms.
The Museum is walking-distance from several restaurants, including Mellow Mushroom, Waffle House, the restaurants in Peachtree Center, Kwan's Deli and Korean Kitchen, Baja Fresh and Chick-fil-a.

- Coat Racks: Available in the Museum for storing coats and jackets.
- Lockers: Small lockers can be checked-out at the front desk to store your items.
- Sensory Packs: Available at the front desk, checked out for free at any time. Each pack includes headphones and several sensory toys.
- Stroller Parking: Limited stroller parking available. CMA is not responsible for any valuable items lost or stolen. The Museum is fully stroller-accessible.
- Quiet Room: Located in Leaping into Learning. Available for families that need a quiet break or for parents who are nursing. Nursing is permitted anywhere in the Museum.
Safety & Cleanliness
You are responsible for supervising your children at all times. You are your child's best advocate for staying safe while playing.
Security cameras record everyone entering and leaving public entrances, as well as moving about the Museum in public spaces.
Adults are not allowed to enter the Museum without a child. Any adult who needs to be united with their party will be asked to wait until someone in their party can come meet them at check-in.
Museum team members on the exhibit floor are in radio communication with one another. When children are separated from their grown-ups, we immediately activate our reunification procedure to quickly and efficiently reunite guests. Our Security desk is the best place to start if a child or grown-up has been separated from their party.
The Museum partners with a professional cleaning company to keep our facility clean and safe for families to play. Our team continually tidies, disinfects high-touch areas, and cleans spills and restrooms. In the evening, the Museum is cleaned using hospital-grade cleaning agents.
We also partner with a professional building performance company to monitor and regularly service our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and keep our air clean.

Wheelchair Accessibility: The entire museum is wheelchair accessible. Elevators provide access to the Mezzanine. All bathrooms and water fountains are wheelchair accessible. The front entrance is wheelchair-accessible and marked with blue stickers that say "Automatic Doors." Red buttons, one outside and one inside, open the doors when pushed.
Sensory Packs: Available at the front desk and can be checked out for free at any time. Each pack includes headphones and several sensory toys.
Sensory Friendly Playtime: Offered on select Sunday mornings throughout the year, this experience provides limited admission and sound adjustments. This experience requires a special. For more information on future dates for this experience, visit our ticketing page.
Service Animals: Restrained service animals are permitted in the Museum.
Web Accessibility: Our website uses the Recite Me web accessibility and language toolbar. You can open the Recite Me language and accessibility toolbar by clicking the accessibility icon. The toolbar offers text-to-speech, options for changing how the website looks, and translation to 134 languages.
Parties
Celebrate your child with a birthday party full of creativity, discovery, and hands-on fun!
Parties are available on weekends in the morning and afternoon.

Private Events
The Museum is available for private events. With over 16,000 square feet of interactive exhibits, we're sure to make a memorable impression on your guests. Rental options are available on weekdays, weekends, and after hours.
Arrival Window
When purchasing/reserving your tickets online, you will need to select the hour block in which you want to arrive. If you arrive earlier or later than your arrival window, you may be asked to wait if the Museum is already at capacity.
Code of Conduct
- We Exercise Kindness: Please use positive, encouraging behavior. Avoid profane and explicit language, harassment, and aggressive behavior.
- We Engage In Respectful Behavior: Please share and take turns. Treat the exhibits well so that other guests have a chance to experience them.
- We Assume Good Intentions: Children may unintentionally touch or bump into each other. Please be patient and understanding.
- Stay Together, Play Together: Adults must stay with their children at all times.
- Use Walking Feet: No running, please.
- Make Memories, Don't Miss Them: We encourage a screen-free experience, unless capturing precious memories.
By visiting Children's Museum of Atlanta or a Museum event, you accept our Code of Conduct and further acknowledge that the Museum reserves the right to deny or revoke access to any person whom the Museum believes is violating our Code of Conduct. Noncooperation with our Code of Conduct may result in your being required to leave and being denied access to the Museum in the future.
Policies & Rules
Children's Museum of Atlanta is designed to be enjoyed by families with young children. Exhibits and educational content are planned to be appropriate for children 8 and younger.
- Adult Supervision: 1 adult chaperone required for every 5 children. Adults must supervise children at all times.
- Animals: Service animals only permitted (not pets, emotional support, or therapy animals).
- Food, Snacks, and Drinks: Food and snacks only in Snack Stop area. Water and soda bottles with caps allowed on the exhibit floor.
- Inappropriate Language/Clothing: Swearing and inappropriate language not permitted. Guests must wear proper attire.
- Party Celebrations: Museum party packages only; no outside party items permitted.
- Photography: Families may photograph their own family members only. By entering the facility, you consent to CMA using your image for marketing.
- Re-entry: Re-entry permitted if Museum has not reached capacity. Get your hand stamped at security before exiting.
- Refunds: General Admission tickets are non-refundable; unused tickets may be rescheduled within 90 days. Event and group tickets are non-refundable. Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Sick Policy: Guests with elevated temperatures, contagious illness, or who are too sick to go to school/work should not visit.
- Unaccompanied Adults: No adult is permitted on the Museum floor without an accompanying child.

Planning Your Experience
While folks of all ages can enjoy the Museum, our exhibits and activities are designed for 2–8 year olds.
Weekday afternoons during the school year tend to be the least crowded. Field trip groups leave by 12:00 pm.
Members-only hours take place weekdays from 9:00–10:00 am during the school year.
Our sensory-friendly quiet room is available throughout your visit for guests who may need a break from stimulation.
We do not permit the following items:
- Alcohol
- Balloons
- Bicycles, scooters, etc.
- Cigarettes/e-cigarettes
- Coolers
- Controlled substances
- Costume characters
- Weapons

Yes, tickets may be purchased upon arrival if space is available. Advance online reservations are strongly encouraged during weekends, holidays, and school breaks, as entry times may sell out.
Children 11 months and younger receive free admission but still need a ticket to enter the Museum. You'll see an option to add $0.00 Baby tickets to your order during booking.
Most families spend 1–2 hours exploring the Museum, but your ticket is valid until closing time. Stay awhile, take a break, and enjoy the day at your family's pace.
When reserving tickets online, you'll select a one-hour arrival window for entry. Guests may arrive at any time during their selected window and are welcome to stay and play as long as they like until the Museum closes.
Arrival windows help us manage capacity and create the best possible experience for all guests.
Guests who arrive earlier or later than their selected window may be asked to wait until space becomes available.
Your general admission ticket is valid for the entire day after you enter the Museum. Guests may leave and return the same day, capacity permitting.
Before exiting, please stop by Security for a hand stamp. Re-entry may not be permitted without the proper stamp.
If the Museum reaches capacity, returning guests may be asked to wait until additional space becomes available.
Plans change — we get it! Tickets are non-refundable, but guests may reschedule for another available date or arrival window based on capacity.
Event and group tickets are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
Special Ticket Types
Museum Members receive free admission based on their membership level. Members are encouraged to reserve tickets online during busy times, including weekends, holidays, and school breaks. Walk-up admission is available for Members as capacity permits.
To reserve tickets or access member discounts, log in using the email address associated with your membership account. Your member tickets and discounts will automatically appear during checkout.
If you are a member at another children's museum with Association of Children's Museums (ACM) reciprocal benefits, welcome to Atlanta! You are eligible to receive 50% off general admission for up to six people. A cardholding member must be present. To receive this discount, use promo code ACMTIX at checkout. A valid reciprocal membership card and picture ID will be required upon arrival.
Through Museums for All, those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) can gain free or reduced admission to more than 1,000 museums throughout the United States. At Children's Museum of Atlanta, SNAP EBT cardholders receive $5 general admission tickets for up to 4 individuals.
You must show your SNAP EBT card and a matching picture ID at time of entry. The SNAP EBT cardholder must be one of the adults visiting the Museum. Copies or images of cards are not valid.
The Museum accepts SNAP EBT cards from Georgia and other states. At this time, we do not accept P-EBT, WIC, or any other federal or state programs toward this discount.
Yes! Discounted group tickets are available for non-school groups including family reunions, playdates, church groups, military groups, tour companies, and convention attendees.
Group ticket requirements:
- 11–30 guests (excluding children 11 months and younger)
- $2 off each ticket
- Reservations required at least one week in advance
- Full payment due at booking
- Group tickets are non-refundable
- Groups must arrive together for entry
