Join the volunteers from the Ismaili Muslim Community in celebrating the festival of Eid al Adha which falls on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah and is at the height of Hajj-the pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca. Eid al Adha commemorates the Prophet Ibrahim’s (Abraham) sacrifice to God. Guests can enjoy music and crafts, and dress and dance in costume pieces from Tajikstan, India, Egypt and Morocco during Music & Movement! While at the museum, have a beautiful henna art design painted on your hands, and make and taste a traditional holiday food during a special Eat a Georgia Rainbow program!
