Music Mondays: May the Fourth Be With You

Vocab Words

Rhythm: Rhythm is a repeated pattern of tones and the way those tones flow together. Rhythms can be fast or slow; we dance to rhythms.
Beat: Beat is the way we play and count a rhythm. Drums play the beat in a song.
Tempo: How fast or slow a song is played.
Melody: Different tones that are played one after another in their own special order. Melody is the main tune you hear in a song.
