Target Free Second Tuesday

Target Free Second Tuesday is a special opportunity for the community to bring their children to experience the Museum for free, between the hours of 1 PM and 6 PM.

NEW TARGET FREE SECOND TUESDAY POLICY

Two sessions will be offered during TFST:
Session #1: 1:00 PM – 3:15 PM
Session #2: 3:45 PM – 6:00 PM

In order to guarantee entrance, guests must pre-register online for one of the sessions. The registration link will be available HERE 24 hours prior to Target Free Second Tuesday.

Those pre-registered will be allowed in first. If there is space available, those not pre-registered will be allowed in on a first-come/first-serve basis.

Music & Movement – 1:30 PM

How about those bones! Join us for our Skeleton Scavenger Hunt and Hokey Pokey music and movement 1:30 p.m. Music & Movement

Mini-Musical – 2:15 PM

Hilarity Academy – Congratulations! You have all been accepted to Hilarity Academy, a place where comedy and science collide. Join Professor Punchline as he teaches Jo King how to use laughter to engage in the world around him. You might even find yourself in the middle of a joke.

Build It Lab Classes available: 1:30 PM, 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM

Children will enjoy this supervised space where they have access to real tools and materials needed to spark creativity, nurture curious minds, and ignite the next wave of innovators. Woodworking and other popular maker skills encourage visitors to be curious, creative and innovative. Projects may include learning about levers by building your own extending grabber using straws, popsicle sticks, and tape!

Art Studio Classes available: 1:30 PM, 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM

The projects in the Art Studio connect and are inspired by the traveling exhibits in the museum as well as cultural holidays. Children discover colors and explore artists from around the world. Other projects may relate to different science topics including 3D teeth models, X-Ray pictures, secret messages using invisible ink, and making a bouncy ball.

Science Bar – open 1:00 PM – 3:15 PM

In October, Professor Labcoat loves uncanny science! Put together a skeleton puzzle, and meet Bob the Museum’s model skeleton, learn how to make Monster slime, what makes things glow in the dark and much more! The Science Bar is where questions turn into answers!
