Mini-Musical – 11:00 AM & 12:00 PM

Hilarity Academy written by John Jenkins

Congratulations! You have all been accepted to Hilarity Academy, a place where comedy and science collide. Join Professor Punchline as he teaches Jo King how to use laughter to engage in the world around him. You might even find yourself in the middle of a joke.

Super Spectacular Science Show – 1:00 PM

Every afternoon, Professor Labcoat shares a fascinating science demonstration with the whole museum! Join her to see what kind of fun she and her assistants have cooked up! For the Month of October, Professor Labcoat will be doing spooky science! Visitors will learn about everything from Tricky Spiders to how Spooky Sounds are made!

Sid the Science Kid Appearance: 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM

Meet Sid the Science Kid at CMA on Stage! Sid is available for photo opportunities.

Music & Movement – 2:00 PM

How about those bones! Join us for our Skeleton Scavenger Hunt and Hokey Pokey music and movement!

Storytime – 3:00 PM

The Imaginators will read fun books featuring Sid the Science Kid, exploring new words and vocabulary about kid science.

Science Bar – open 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM

In October, Professor Labcoat loves uncanny science! Put together a skeleton puzzle, and meet Bob the Museum’s model skeleton, learn how to make Monster slime, what makes things glow in the dark and much more! The Science Bar is where questions turn into answers!

Art Studio – open 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM

The projects in the Art Studio connect and are inspired by the traveling exhibits in the museum as well as cultural holidays. Children discover colors and explore artists from around the world. Other projects may relate to different science topics including 3D teeth models, X-Ray pictures, secret messages using invisible ink, and making a bouncy ball.

Build It Lab – open 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Children will enjoy this supervised space where they have access to real tools and materials needed to spark creativity, nurture curious minds, and ignite the next wave of innovators. Woodworking and other popular maker skills encourage visitors to be curious, creative and innovative. Projects may include learning about levers by building your own extending grabber using straws, popsicle sticks and tape!
