Read Across America

March 2 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

RAAheader2016

Come celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday in partnership with the Georgia Association of Educators. Children will enjoy stories read by a special guest reader and the Imaginators.  They’ll even dance to the Stray Cat Strut, hear a dramatic reading of What Pet Should I Get? and meet the Cat in the Hat himself!

Special Storytime – 11:00 AM

One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss: From there to here, from here to there, funny things are everywhere.” Beginning with just five fish and continuing into flights of fancy, One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish celebrates how much fun imagination can be.

Stray Cat Strut With the Cat in the Hat – 11:15 AM

Special Presentation by the Imaginators – 12:00 PM

What Pet Should I Get? by Dr. Seuss – What happens when a brother and sister visit a pet store to pick a pet? Naturally, they can’t choose just one! The tale captures a classic childhood moment—choosing a pet—and uses it to illuminate a life lesson: that it is hard to make up your mind, but sometimes you just have to do it!

Stray Cat Strut With the Cat in the Hat – 2:00 PM

Super Spectacular Science Show – 3:00 PM

Art Studio – open 11:00 AM – 4:30 PM
