Homeschool Day

March 6 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Home School Days are designed for the unique educational needs of homeschool students who will spend an afternoon enjoying facilitated activities and workshops. Perfect for grade levels K through 4th grade, the Museum Home School Days program activities teach important concepts including math, science, language arts, and social studies.

Tickets are $15 for non-member children and $5 for member children. Adults are free. Tickets must be purchased in advanced, no later than the day prior to the program. Tickets are not available the day of.

March 6 Focus: health, science, exercise, food
Activities at our Healthyville Homeschool Day will include a chef’s demo on healthy eating, Team Body versus Team Germs, where students learn how their bodies work and how they fight off germs, Maker activities that include building your own stethoscope or putting together a spine, creating a “stomach” and seeing how it digests food, and much more.

Homeschool Day Schedule:

Storytime – 1:00 PM
Mini-Musical – 2:00 PM
Super Spectacular Science Show – 3:00 PM
Cooking Demo with Chef Tanisha! – Lab B: 1:30 PM & 2:30 PM
Maker Activities – Lab A:
1:30 PM & 2:30 PM: For younger visitors, join us in Lab A to make your very own stethoscope. Best for ages 3-4.
2:00 PM & 3:00 PM: For older visitors, learn how to use a pool noodle to make a model of the spine! Best for ages 4-9. 
Special Show: Team Body vs. Team Germs – CMA on Stage: 2:30 PM & 3:30 PM
Make a Model of the Stomach! – Mezzanine Lunch Tables: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
