A Better Me, A Better You written by Jerry G. White – Toys have always been a source of comfort for children young and old. In this engaging 20-minute musical production, XO the puppet will show his friend EJ and you how happy you can feel when you give to and volunteer to help others.
Super Spectacular Science Show – 1:00 PM
Every afternoon, Professor Labcoat shares a fascinating science demonstration with the whole museum! Join her to see what kind of fun she and her assistants have cooked up! Questions are encouraged at the end of the show.
Music & Movement – 2:00 PM
Join the Imaginators for CMA’s own grocery games! Compete on a team to complete our healthy food-filled obstacle course: work with others to sort different grocery items into their food groups, test your heart’s stamina during a hula hoop competition, flex your muscles in a jumping jack contest, and then celebrate victory with a musical dance party!
Storytime – 3:00 PM
Follow along to learn about healthy eating as the Imaginators read Jack and the Hungry Giant by Loreen Leedy, a nutritious twist on the classic fairy tale of a young boy named Jack and a hungry giant!
Science Bar – open 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Science is everywhere, but it’s especially on the mezzanine at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta! Staffed by a STEM educator with a whole menu full of fun activities and a whole head full of knowledge, the Science Bar is where questions turn into answers!
Art Studio – open 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM
The projects in the Art Studio connect and are inspired by the traveling exhibits in the museum as well as cultural holidays. Children discover colors and explore artists from around the world. Inspired by Healthyville, head to the Art Studio to make your own friendly-faced wheat grass cup planter!
Build It Lab – open 10:30 AM-3:30 PM
Children will enjoy this supervised space where they have access to real tools and materials needed to spark creativity, nurture curious minds, and ignite the next wave of innovators. Woodworking and other popular maker skills encourage visitors to be curious, creative and innovative. Projects may include building your own stethoscope out of recycled materials.
