From Here to There Daily Programs
March 4 @ 11:00 am - 3:30 pm
Mini-Musical – 11:00 AM & 3:00 PM
Let’s Go! Written by Marc Farley, music by David Biemiller – Join Professors Zip and Dash and explore how we get from here to there. From driving to biking to boating, Professors Zip and Dash kick up their heels to teach you about the science behind different methods of transportation.
Character Trek: Exploring From Here to There – 1:00 PM
Meet Professor Zip or Dash and learn all about different forms of transportation.
Music & Movement – 2:00 PM
Get up and move during the Museum’s highly energetic Music & Movement program. Help make a human jetliner and “fly” around stage, interpret how the planets would dance (if they had legs!), or take a trip through time and act out ways people get from here to there. Music & Movement is always a fun way to get the wiggles out!
Super Spectacular Science Show – 4:00 PM
Every afternoon, Professor Labcoat shares a fascinating science demonstration with the whole museum! Join him to see what kind of fun he and his assistants have cooked up! Questions are encouraged at the end of the show.
Science Bar – 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Science is everywhere, but it’s especially on the mezzanine at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta! Step Up to Science is our new STEM exhibit area, and it features interactive exhibits that will teach children about light, robotics, and the way their bodies work! Kids and adults can also saddle up to the Science Bar. Staffed by a STEM educator with a whole menu full of fun activities and a whole head full of knowledge, the Science Bar is where questions turn into answers!
Art Studio Projects – 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Children discover colors and explore artists from around the world. The projects in the Art Studio connect and are inspired by the traveling exhibits in the museum as well as cultural holidays. Crafts may include making and decorating a hot air balloon, a floating boat or designing a toy parachute.
Build It Lab Projects – 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Children will enjoy this supervised space where they have access to real tools and materials needed to spark creativity, nurture curious minds, and ignite the next wave of innovators. Woodworking and other popular maker skills encourage visitors to be curious, creative and innovative. Projects may include designing and constructing a sling shot car.
