Celebrate Tanabata: A Cultrual Exploration

July 7 @ 11:00 am - 4:30 pm

We are so excited to partner with Atlanta’s beloved Nakato Japanese Restaurant to bring to life the Japanese Star Festival, Tanabata. The annual festival celebrates the meeting of two Japanese deities, Hikoboshi and Orihime, who are separated by the Milky Way and only allowed to meet once a year. Join Nakato and the CMA Imaginators as we bring this festival to life for the children of Atlanta! Sign up at the Art Studio to participate in an authentic origami class led by guests from Nakato, listen to Japanese children’s stories, or jump into our own Tanabata lantern parade!
