Celebrate Easter: A Cultural Exploration

March 31 @ 11:00 am - 4:30 pm

Relays & Games: Eggcelent Relays – 11:00 AM & 3:00 PM

Join the Imaginators for CMA’s own Easter Egg Relay! Carry an egg on a spoon, pass it to your neighbor while hopping on one leg, and whatever you do, make sure that egg doesn’t crack!

Do the Bunny Hop! – 12:00 PM & 2:00 PM

Grab a partner and head to the CMA stage to dance the bunny hop! Bunny and spring-themed costumes will be provided to add to the fun!

Our Senses and Spring – 1:00 PM

Learn about our five senses – sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell – as we read along to Fletcher and the Springtime Blossoms, a springtime story in which Fletcher the fox sees the flowers blooming, hears the baby birds chirping, and smells the new grass growing…but he also unexpectedly sees snow and must warn all of his woodland friends!

Super Spectacular Science Show – 4:00 PM

Every afternoon, Professor Labcoat shares a fascinating science demonstration with the whole museum! Join the Professor to see what kind of fun she and her assistants have cooked up! Questions are encouraged at the end of the show.

Science Bar – open 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Science is everywhere, but it’s especially on the mezzanine at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta! Staffed by a STEM educator with a whole menu full of fun activities and a whole head full of knowledge, the Science Bar is where questions turn into answers!

Art Studio – open 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

The projects in the Art Studio connect and are inspired by the traveling exhibits in the museum as well as cultural holidays. Children discover colors and explore artists from around the world. To celebrate Easter and welcome spring, make your own Easter Bunny craft in the Art Studio using toilet paper rolls and colored paper!

Build It Lab – open 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Children will enjoy this supervised space where they have access to real tools and materials needed to spark creativity, nurture curious minds, and ignite the next wave of innovators. Woodworking and other popular maker skills encourage visitors to be curious, creative and innovative.
