Blue Man Group – Making Waves Daily Programs

An event every week that begins at 11:00am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, repeating until August 31, 2017
Mini-Musical – 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM & 2:00 PM
A Sound Connection – A robot from the planet Solar and a caveperson from Earth come together for one common interest; the wonder of sound! Join these unlikely friends as they travel down the “Earie” Canal, listening to different animals in the wild, dancing and moving like sound waves, and becoming lifelong friends! Join the fun during this special Blue Man Group-Making Waves inspired mini-musical!
Music & Movement – 1:00 PM
Surround Sound – Sound is ALL AROUND. Join the Imaginators as they make music out of found objects. What musical sound does a pencil make on a coffee cup or sticks on trash cans? Join us and let’s jam!
Super Spectacular Science Show – 3:00 PM
Every afternoon, Professor Labcoat shares a fascinating science demonstration with the whole museum! Join him to see what kind of fun he and his assistants have cooked up! Questions are encouraged at the end of the show.
Science Bar – open 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Science is everywhere, but it’s especially on the mezzanine at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta! Staffed by a STEM educator with a whole menu full of fun activities and a whole head full of knowledge, the Science Bar is where questions turn into answers!
Art Studio – open 11:00 AM –3:30 PM
Children discover colors and explore artists from around the world. The projects in the Art Studio connect and are inspired by the traveling exhibits in the museum as well as cultural holidays. Projects may include creating and decorating your own banjo, experimenting with powder paint, blow painting and splatter paint and making a noise maker shaker out of recycled objects.
Build It Lab – open 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Children will enjoy this supervised space where they have access to real tools and materials needed to spark creativity, nurture curious minds, and ignite the next wave of innovators. Woodworking and other popular maker skills encourage visitors to be curious, creative and innovative. Projects may include building your own Rain stick and drum.
